About ToolYard
ToolYard is a free collection of 168 online calculators, converters, and everyday tools. It covers money, health, math, conversions, files, images, privacy, focus, and a few just-for-fun tools. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
ToolYard is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any bank, lender, government agency, or medical provider.
How the tools work
Most tools run in your browser: the numbers, dates, text, and files you enter are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored by ToolYard. A few tools need outside services to work:
- The IP lookup tool asks public services (ipify.org and ipapi.co) for your IP details.
- The YouTube thumbnail tool loads images from YouTube.
- The PDF compressor loads its PDF library from a public code CDN.
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit. Our privacy policy explains what that collects.
Where the figures come from
Tax, retirement, and benefit figures come from official sources such as the IRS and the Social Security Administration, and each tool page states the year its figures apply to. Health calculators use published formulas, such as Mifflin-St Jeor for calorie needs and ACOG definitions for pregnancy dates.
Year-dependent figures are reviewed when new official numbers are published, usually each autumn and January.

Results are estimates for general information. They are not financial, tax, legal, or medical advice. Before making a significant decision, check with a qualified professional or the official source.
